Hayley Tote, Olive/Natural

The Hayley Tote is an evolution of the first leather tote bags we made a few years back in a design that didn't have to be hand-stitched together. The challenge was building a tote bag for you that could be sewn inside out with full-grain English bridle leather. Many other makers opt for oil-tan or pull-up leather, which is actually tanned with chromium salts (ick) because it's so much softer and easier to work with. However, while bridle leather is harder to work with, it's also created with vegetable tannins, is more durable, and ages better. The result is a gorgeous tote bag that will patina wonderfully for you over time and last for years.

There's also extra details that make the Hayley Tote a little nicer than other comparable options. The straps are reinforced with additional leather panels inside so your straps won't tear out. The edges of the straps are also edge-beveled and hand burnished for a more comfortable carry. High-stress stitching areas are tacked with additional solid brass rivets. There's a swivel clip hidden inside and D-ring outside for your keys (might we suggest our wristlet keychain or key fob). And finally, all outside edges that might come into contact with your skin are burnished as well for that smooth, luxurious feeling.
